Fast on the success of Stage Door the theatre's drama classes for young children, we are now launching STAGESTRUCK. STAGESTRUCK is a performance based young people's theatre. Sessions will help children reach their full potential in a performance environment, and increase self confidence and self esteem and giving opportunities for young people to learn and express themselves. The Chrysalis Theatre is part of Camphill Milton Keynes, a working community where 50 residents with learning disabilities live together with co-workers and their families, many of whom are volunteers from all over the world. The community arranges a programme of events throughout the year - concerts, drama, story-telling, talks, films and eurythmy.

There will be teams of Xscape tenants racing up and down the real snow slope to win the first SNO!zone Shrove Tuesday Pancake Race and the Golden Frying Pan award! Come and participate this half term in some fantastic funky stagecraft workshops for children. Come and have loads of fun as you try your hand at the various aspects of being a clown. All the tricks of slapstick such as prat-falls, slips, trips and double-takes. This physical workshop teaches the techniques of silent comedy as well as the basics of clowning – funny walks, the power of facial expressions and how to find your inner-clown!

From selling Encyclopaedias' to American Soldiers in Germany to working as a corrosion control technician for Esso in America, Larry has a large repertoire of stories and anecdotes to share with you. Larry gave up his career with Esso and came to the stage after answering an “Actors Wanted!”

Katy and the monstrous Nurgla are both having a February holiday in Majorca (he usually spends the summer in Loch Ness). When they meet on the beach Katy is unperturbed - 'She had imagined far worse-looking creatures' - and before long she is reading him The Wind in the Willows, making barbecued chicken on his not breath, and teaching him good manners.

Penguin says nothing…..so Ben fires Penguin into OUTER SPACE, Penguin comes back to earth without a word! It isn't until a passing lion intervenes that Penguin finally speaks...

The hedgerow materials you have collected can also be combined with farmed willow creating baskets and structures for both indoor and outdoor use that vary in scale and form.
