Buses in Milton Keynes

MORE and more people are taking to the buses to get out and about in Milton Keynes as passengers numbers are going up by 100,000 journeys a month, figures show the number of journeys made in Milton Keynes rose from 7.2m in 2006 to more than 9m in 2007 – up 26% and easily outstripping the UK average of 4% growth over the same period.

MK Plusbus - The new community transport service
The new improved Milton Keynes Community Transport (MKCT) was relaunched on June 22, 2006. After extensive review and consultation with users, MKCT replaces Fastchair and Group Travel and now operates under the new name MK PlusBus.

Who is eligible to use the service?
The service is provided for disabled and frail elderly residents of Milton Keynes who are unable to use mainstream public transport. By unable we generally mean mobility impaired, but we may also accept applications from residents who have learning difficulties or a mental disability that would make it unsafe for them to use a bus.
