Milton Keynes Angling Association
MKAA members are able to fish the great lakes of Furzton, Caldecote, Lodge Lake, Bradwell and Willen - plus Emberton Park and miles of the Ouse, the Ouzel, Tove, Thames, Cherwell, Dimmocks Pit, Jubilee Pit, Tear Drops, Grand Union and the 'oxo' and not forgetting our Commercial Water at Wappenham.


MKAA was formed in 1971 to provide local anglers access to local fishing. Things have moved on a lot over the intervening period but the basic terms of reference still exist.

MKAA is open to all anglers from all over the country and whether their requirements are match, specimen or pleasure angling MKAA provides excellent facilities.

Annual Membership Tickets are available from our website and all local tackle shops.

Day tickets are available on the bank for all but a handful of our fisheries. If you are not a member, come and try, you will not be disappointed.

During the summer months we run come and try sessions for youngsters wishing to give fishing ago. Jack checked out our website www.mkaa.co.uk for details, he came along and landed this lovely Perch.

We are a progressive and forward looking association run by an enthusiastic committee who are all practising anglers - remember our logo 'MKAA - Angling for all'.

Great Linford Lakes
Great Linford Lakes is situated by the M1, just north of Milton Keynes. The fishery comprises of ten lakes and approx. 2.5 miles of river Ouse. Which includes Alder lake, Arboretum, Blackhorse, Linford one, Parc Farm One, Parc Farm Two, Poplar, Redhouse, Rocla and Heron lake. There is a healthy stock of chub and bream but many anglers fish for the double figure barbel and large carp.

Milton Keynes Disabled Anglers Club was formed in 1994.

The aim of the club is to promote angling to those with a disability. This can be those wishing to try the sport, or would like to return to it.

The secretary of the club is David Lewis, a qualified Angling Coach and member of The Professional Angling Association.

Membership costs £5.00 per year but this gives access to cheaper membership of MKAA and a couple of secret venues. There is no charge for tuition, to members.

Should any non member want tuition, all that is required is contribution to costs and a possible donation to the MKDAC (cash or kit). Small groups can be accomodated.


Cosgrove
With twelve lakes, two rivers and the Grand Union canal next door, Cosgrove Leisure Park has something for every angler interested in coarse fishing. Even a tackle shop on site. Some are for the exclusive use of holiday home owners in their lakeside holiday homes. Four lakes are available with no caravans around them. These lakes have over thirty five fishing platforms installed.

Talltrees Carp Fishery
A beautiful, mature, willow encased 2 acre gem, set in the glorious tranquil Bedfordshire countryside.

The lake was created in the late 1880s, excavated for the clay to make bricks. Many of these bricks can be still seen in use today at most of the local farms in the surrounding area. Originally 3 pools, the far pool was filled in around 1940, when the task to completely fill the pools was halted, to create a natural lake. The two remaining pools were then connected either side to leave what is now the island.

We are a quarter of a mile from the Grand Union Canal, river Ouse and Bradwell lake and have tickets and tackle to cover them all.

Toddington Fishery
Toddington Fishery is set in a quiet corner of rural Bedfordshire. Originally dug out some 15 years ago and stocked with a variety of coarse fish including roach, perch, tench, bream, with carp to 22lb and catfish to 37lb.
