Martial Arts
A note from the teacher: Springfield Tai Chi Club is a small informal club, with emphasis on one to one teaching rather than in a large group. I teach Yang style, 24 and 108 Forms with Pushing Hands, then Broadsword as the student progresses. I use Chi Kung/Qi Gong exercises for warm ups. Tai Chi is a Chinese 'Internal' martial art with slow graceful movements that can promote health or be used for martial applications. Push hands is a two-person interaction testing Tai Chi's principles of yielding and redirection. Martial applications can be shown if of interest. I've been doing Tai Chi for 19 years. I've been at the club for 13 years and I've been teaching for about 10 years. The club is at the Springfield Community centre (right hand door), next to the shop in Springfield estate (V8 between H6 and H7). See the map (in PDF) for more details Sessions are 7.30 to 9.30 every Wednesday, and fees are £5 per session. Milton Keynes Sport Home Page
