Bletchley offers a more traditional high street shopping experience.
|
| The regeneration of Bletchley is taking place right now in Queensway, the shopping centre in the heart of Bletchley.
With improved paving, new roadway, new litter bins with separate compartment for re-cycling giving Queensway a completely fresh and contemporary new look.
A wide variety of shops await you both in the high street and the indoor Brunel Centre, located at the top end of the High Street
The fresh clean atmosphere of the Brunel Centre greets you and offers some interesting shops. All your health food supplies are catered for by Holland and Barratt and frozen foods are on offer from Farmfoods. There are also clothing and shoe outlets and another store selling carpets. W.H. Smiths and Boots offer more standard goods alongside a large Wilkinsons store which sells just about everything at competitive prices.
Outside on the High Street you will find a good mix of shops, some of which are independent, giving a choice of good quality and unusual products at reasonable prices.
There is a well designed bandstand in Elizabeth Square and on Saturdays there are bands playing during the day (May to September).
Because of the disruption during the roadwork's, the market has been spasmodic, but we understand that it will return to its normal place down the middle of Queensway after the roadwork's are completed. Look forward to having a lively and bustling market, hopefully twice a week.
There is plenty of parking both in the high street and behind the shops.
Bletchley Town is beginning to thrive again and offers a taste of shopping as it used to be which has been updated with a wide selection of the more modern stores.
