Amway UK sponsors new Dons signing to score goalsAmway UK, the direct selling company and ‘Healthy Living Partner’ of MK Dons football club, has announced the sponsorship of MK Dons new signing Lewis Gobern, a highly rated winger from Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers who joined MK Dons in July this year. For each goal Gobern scores in competitive league matches this season, Amway will donate Ł500 to Milton Keynes Sport and Education Trust (MKSET) disability programme. MK Dons players already benefit from Amway’s 75 years experience in nutrition and research by receiving expert advice and health products - including ‘NUTRILITE Daily’ multi- vitamin and mineral product that, through many natural plant substances, includes many phytonutrients and antioxidants; and the exclusive Strive isotonic energy drink for rehydration – as part of the MK Dons strict training regime. Andy Smith, Amway UK/ROI’s branch manager/director said: “Amway has been based in Milton Keynes for over 35 years and we are delighted to be working with MK Dons. As healthy living partner, our aim is contribute our expertise to the first team players but also make a donation as part of Amway’s ‘One by One’ programme for children back into the community through MKSET. Internationally our sponsorship of Ronaldinho, has raised over $100,000 for the AC Milan Foundation, so we wanted to adopt this initiative for our local team. C’mon Lewis!” Monies raised by Amway will be donated to MK SET’s disability programme, an exciting new scheme that will grow disability football provision across the region. The Trust also delivers a vast range of community projects in partnership with key organisations such as local schools, youth groups, junior football clubs, and the Primary Care Trust. Amway’s sponsorship match was the home game MK Dons V Norwich City 2-1 victory on 14 September. For more information visit www.amway.co.uk |
