Cadets learn First Aid

Milton Keynes Local News - Milton Keynes cadets take first aid course
Ever keen to develop themselves further, Cadets from 207 (Cranfield) Squadron Air Training Corps (ATC) recently attended a First Aid Course.
Joining forces with cadets and staff from 1003 (Leighton Buzzard) Sqn, 7 cadets, accompanied by 2 qualified staff, from 207 Sqn worked hard to complete the 3 day course, supported by St Johns Ambulance, to obtain their Young Lifesaver Plus award.

Flight Lieutenant Paul Weston, Officer Commanding 207 Sqn, was present at the weekend: ‘The course was a great success and these cadets are now the first from our squadron to be qualified in first aid. It is great to have seen so many young people with ages ranging from just 13 putting themselves forward to learn such skills. These cadets are truly exceptional young people.’

First Aid is just one of many activities on offer within the ATC. If you would like to know more, or are interested in becoming a member, please contact the Squadron on 01234 752030 or call in at their Headquarters off Merchants Lane, Cranfield between the times of 7:30pm and 9:30pm on a Monday or Thursday evening.
