Electric Sheep was commissioned to commemorate Margaret Powell, a local benefactor whose trust supported the enhancement of the Theatre & Gallery's facilities for older and disabled people.
The artist's decision to use the sheep motif was influenced by Margaret Powell's life as a sheep farmer and the rural history of Milton Keynes.
