Comic Strip PostcardsThis comic strip is based on the sculpture The Space Between by Eilis O'Connell in Exchange Square, at the junction between Midsummer Boulevard and Saxon Gate. The text reads: I must have been about 10 years old and I was really into science fiction. I had a really big thing for the film Blade Runner. Milton Keynes was great for feeding my imagination on that. We used to use the sculpture as 'cover' in imaginary gunfights on Saturdays - it was perfect. I was Harrison Ford and my friend John was Rutger Hauer. I've never forgotten that. (As told to the artists by J.M.) Grennan & Sperandio have worked with people from all walks of life on both sides of the Atlantic, resulting in the creation of comic books, animated films, and even a bar of chocolate. They are currently working on projects with the Museum of Modern Art in New York and are artists in residence at the largest Asda store in the country in Swindon. Personal Views is an Artpoint project for Milton Keynes Council, supported by Southern Arts and produced in association with Milton Keynes Citizen and Milton Keynes Gallery.
