I stayed at the Vignoble Guest House for five nights. I found Marcell and John very friendly and welcoming.

The house itself is large with a large peaceful garden. The immediate area is quiet and feels secluded, just right to really relax.

It did not actually feel like I was staying in a bed and breakfast, it was more like staying with close friends or relatives such was the welcome and homely feel of the house.

I must mention the breakfast that Marcell provided. It was fantastic, made so with her own speciality breads.

If I ever travel to Milton Keynes again I will be staying at Vignoble. I would highly recommend it to others.

My colleagues and I were lucky enough to get accommodation at Vignoble Guest House on very short notice. The host and hostess, John and Marcelle, greeted us as if we were old friends who they had not seen in years.

The accommodation was immaculate and even though I had to share a room with a colleague on the second night, I have no objections to staying there again in the future.

The breakfast was of the highest standard and far exceeded what I would expect from any bed and breakfast. The hospitality was beyond reproach. I would recommend this guest house to anyone who prefers the homely and personal touch.

The surrounding area is very nice with the canal nearby for anyone who enjoys a quiet walk.

I wish John and Marcelle all the best in the future.

We discovered the Vignoble guest house by chance when looking for accommodation during a workshop held by the Open University. "We" means 4 students and 2 lecturers, and we fitted into the Vignoble guest house perfectly.
We started with the request of coming late, but that was no problem for John and Marcelle. They welcomed us and offered us drinks and cookies :-). And that was not the end of thier lovely looking after us. Every day we had a nice breakfast and returned to the clean and comfortable rooms. I had slight cold that discomforted me, but the kindness of Marcelle has overcome that difficulty. After couple of teas and drinks I felt like newly born :-).
I would certainly recommend this guest house to anyone who prefers the home-like environment to non-personal care in hotels. I wish to John and Marcelle good health for the future.

We stayed for a weekend with John & Marcelle as my husband had an exam at the OU. What a lovely stay we had. We have never stayed in a bed and breakfast as lovely as this. We were made to feel so welcome and were looked after as if we were close friends. Breakfast was wonderful, the accommodation immaculate and the hosts great. I don't know where they get their energy from.
Thank you so much for a lovely weekend.

Clean and comfortable. This guest house was just what I needed for my four day work trip to Milton Keynes. Hosts John and Marcelle are very friendly, and the breakfasts have to be tasted to be believed - do try Marcelle's home-made bread. It's in a nice peaceful location too, and just a five-minute drive from the centre of Milton Keynes.

Arriving at the Vignoble - for the first time in Milton Keynes - was like coming home. Mrs. Evans received me very kindly indeed. I stayed for a week, and every time I returned to the Vignoble she received me in the same kind way.

The house is beautiful and cosy. The room she offered me was perfect, the breakfast too, and the situation of the Vignoble in a quiet neighbourhood close to the Open University (a pleasant walk of some 12 minutes away) was simply ideal for my week at the OU.

Marcelle's way of offering her friendship and help is very special indeed. Staying with Marcelle was a bit like staying in the home of a dear aunt or grandma. And what a lively grandma she is, running her own web site (see http://www.vignoblegh.co.uk/ ) and being such an interesting host to talk to, too - whether in French or in English. Whole-heartedly recommended!

Staying at Vignoble House with Marcelle Evans is much like staying in the home of a beloved aunt. Marcelle's lovely bed and breakfast is warm, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Vignoble House is near the Open University and boasts lovely gardens and personal treatment all through the guest's stay at the bed and breakfast. While I was there, Marcelle showed me all around Milton Keynes, spent time with me lunching and shopping, and we even went to the local theatre together.
Marcelle also provided me with air conditioning while there to cope with my allergies and the unseasonably warm temperatures while I visisted in the United Kingdom. The food is also generous and excellent. I just wish I were spending time visiting at Vignoble House this summer. I give The Evans' Vignoble House 5 stars for excellence.

I've stayed with Marcelle and John for two full months and we've became great friends. I really enjoyed stay there. Marcelle and John are such charming people that lift your mood and make you truly feel at home.

Vignoble is simply a great place to stay in Milton Keynes. It offers a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere in one of the nicest areas of town. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable overlooking the quite and beautiful Woughton Park and a stone throw away from the Grand Union Canal. The location is also very central, just a few minutes away from the modern Central Milton Keynes and the Open University.

The breakfast is superb, cooked to meet your preferences. There are other great treats - the secret comes from the herbs & vegetables grown in their own beautiful garden - where, in a sunny day, you can relax too.

This is a highly recommended place to stay in Milton Keynes, where you will have the pleasure to meet and enjoy the company of two gorgeous hosts!

I always stay with Marcelle and John when I visit my faculty at the Open University (only five minutes walk away across the Park).
It's like a home from home to me at this stage, and John and Marcelle have become good friends. It's not just the comfortable rooms and the good breakfast made to your wishes and the nice garden and the quiet surroundings that brings me back - these you can find perhaps elsewhere too, though not the special homemade bread - it's the fact that you are made part of the family and that John and Marcelle take an interest in all their guests. I will never forget my very first stay, which was near Christmas 2000, when the house was full of visitors who had dropped in to see this very special couple - it was a truly international community of friends. Highly recommended!

Coming from overseas to attend a conference in Milton Keynes, I can't tell you how delighted I was to find Marcelle at Vignoble. My room was extraordinarily comfortable--certainly the best I've ever experienced at a B&B--and Marcelle makes you feel a part of the family. The garden at Vignoble is just lovely. I sat under the arbor with my computer for long lazy afternoons, interupted only by my own gazing at the camelias and roses...and of course a glass of ice tea offered by Marcelle.
