The National Bowl in Milton Keynes is to host Bon Jovi concerts this summer following an announcement that Wembley Stadium will not be ready in time.
The future of the concerts planned for June 10 and 11 were in jeopardy after news that the London stadium's opening has been delayed.
But Gaming International Ltd, the company that operates The National Bowl, stepped in to save the day for concert fans.
Director Gordon Cockhill said: "This is fantastic news for Milton Keynes. Bon Jovi is one of the world's biggest rock bands and we are thrilled to be welcoming them back to the city"
A spokesman for promoters AEG Live added: "Bon Jovi's success has been punctuated through the years by numerous sell out shows at The Bowl. It's therefore only fitting that they should return to UK's leading outdoor venue which has supported them throughout their career and where they feel right at home."
The HAVE A NICE DAY tour is the band's first in three years. They have previously played in Milton Keynes in 1989, 1993, 1996 and 2001.
Said Jon Bon Jovi: "Having closed the original Wembley Stadium, it would have been a fitting honor to open the new one. However, the most important element was always the live concerts themselves. So while the location may have changed, the celebration will remain the same. Thank you to our fans - for your loyalty and your patience. We'll see you for two great nights of rock 'n' roll at Milton Keynes."
Joining the band on tour are Canadian rock band Nickelback who have stormed the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
