Dons have signed Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Chris Lines on loan until the end of the season.
He will link up with his new team-mates tomorrow ahead of the FA Cup fourth round tie with QPR on Saturday, when he could make his debut.
“Chris is a player I have admired for a number of years now, in fact he is a player I tried to sign two years ago,” Dons boss Karl Robinson told the club’s website.
“It is no secret that I have wanted to bolster the midfield since we suffered the long-term injuries to Luke Chadwick and Stephen Gleeson, and by bringing in Ryan Harley and now Chris Lines we believe we have the creative spark we have been missing.
“Chris is a talented footballer who scores goals from midfield and I think he will fit in well with our team.”
Lines said he was looking forward to getting some games under his belt.
“I really need some playing time and one club that immediately came to my attention was MK Dons because I like how they play the game and they are doing well in League One,” he said.
Twenty-seven-year-old Lines has made six appearances for the Owls this season.
