Dons have confirmed the loan signing of Crystal Palace forward Ibra Sekajja.
The 20-year-old Ugandan born player has joined on a youth loan up to and including New Year’s Day.
He joins in time for tonight’s League One match with Leyton Orient at stadiummk.
Palace boss Ian Holloway hinted yesterday that Dons, who have been searching for a forward, were in the market for Sekajja.
In Palace’s youth set-up he netted more than 20 times for their U18 side, before he made his first team debut in a 1-1 draw with Hull City in April 2011.
Dons fans will hope that he is the answer to the problems the team have faced in front of goal this season.
“We have been looking at Ibra for some time now,” manager Karl Robinson said.
“He is a player who has come on leaps and bounds at Crystal Palace in the last few months.
“I spoke to [former Palace manager] Dougie Freedman on a number of occasions about him because he’s exactly what we need in the team at the moment – he is young, fearless and fast.
“We watched Ibra play against Middlesbrough’s development team on Monday night and I am delighted Ian Holloway has allowed one of his starlets to join us for the next two months.”
