The WoburnGC 15-year-old, who is also the English number one, was part of the three-player team representing the country alongside Holly Clyburn and Meghan MacLaren.

Her two rounds of 68 and 69 in the strokeplay qualifiers for the singles event at El Valle, along with Clyburn’s 71 and 70, saw England total a six under par score of 278.

That was enough to see them take victory from France A by just one stroke, while Hull’s own five under par total saw her through to the matchplay stage of the main competition.

However, after a 5&3 win over Sweden's Jessica Vasilic, Hull was eliminated in the last 16 of the tournament following a 3&1 defeat to Emily Pentilla of Finland.

Hull will be back in action on Tuesday in the Sunningdale Foursomes where she will team up with Lee Scarbrow for the 78th edition of the annual matchplay event. Their first round opponents are Ferndown GC duo Neil Pike and Kevin Spurgeon.

It is all part of her preparations for the prestigious Kraft Nabisco Championship in California later this month – the first LPGA major of the year.
