Places to Visit in Milton Keynes
At Milton Keynes Museum you can experience how the lives of ordinary people have changed over the past two hundred years. Many fascinating exhibits depicting rural domestic and industrial life of North Buckinghamshire from 1800 to 1960s and the advent of Milton Keynes new town. Children delight in the Nursery and Toy Room. Other favourites include the 'gypsy' caravan, the 'bone shaker 'and 'penny farthing' bicycles. Jessie the Shire horse can often be seen working on the land or helping around the museum. "Our Tram" ran between Wolverton and Stony Stratford. It pulled some of the largest tram cars ever built as well as being the last steam tram in the country. The Milton Keynes Museum will never be finished, rather it will continue to develop and improve so there will always be something new to see.
