Top Gear is heading to Milton Keynes

Written byJAMES AVERILL

Popular BBC TV show Top Gear will soon be heading to Milton Keynes to film for their latest series.

The motoring programme, one of the most successful shows in the UK and around the globe, will be heading to the city on Sunday July 28 - although it is not yet clear whether presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will be present.

To enable filming, Milton Keynes Council has announced it will be closing roads, footways and on-street car parks in Central Milton Keynes on the day between the hours of 6am and 6pm.

The council website had listed on their website that the closures were to enable the Milton Keynes Automotive Manufacturing Event to take place.

But it has been confirmed to MK WEB that the motor show, featuring the mysterious Stig, is the real reason why the roads will be shut.

The council has advised that the closures will only be for a maximum period of 4-6 hours during these times.
