Walnut Tree lies to the south east of Milton Keynes. It is named after an old farm and has a historical area although the rest is being developed into a modern housing estate.

There is a cricket ground and football pitch with changing facilities. There are a number of play parks scattered throughout the area. The local centre has a small Tescos local store, a laundrette, Chinese take away, chip shop, kebab house, betting shop, video store, charity shop and a vets. The nearby Tawny Owl pub serves good food. Caldecotte Lake is in the adjacent grid square with the lovely windmill hotel and restaurant on the banks. The lake has windsurfing, sailing and is used by the Caldecotte Project for youth watersports activities. The nearest supermarket is at Kingston Centre. Bletchley and Central Milton Keynes are just a few minutes away by car. There are lovely walks and cycle rides just on your doorstep Walnut Tree is home to Walton High, a large new secondary school.
