Tattenhoe lies to the south west of Milton Keynes righ on the edge of the city. Buckingham would be merely 15 minutes drive form here and the City Centre just a little less. It is a very rural area as part of it is woodland , Howe Park Wood, and a linear park runs through it.

There is a deserted 16th Century village, moat and fish ponds and these have been designated a scheduled monument. The Church of St Giles is a grade II listed building with a wooden "bellcote". For more information on St Giles Church click here St. Giles
In the southern corner is a small area for industry. Windmill Hill Golf course is adjoining the area.
Tattenhoe Park is projected to deliver approximately 1,300 homes (30% will be affordable), a primary school called 'Priory Rise', community facilities, open space, allotment gardens, a small hotel, shops and business space.
The site has been proposed as a national exemplar for the provision of "super-flexible homes" and the masterplan recommends that this be pioneered at this site.
Super Flexible Homes - helps accommodate changing family circumstances or lifestyle changes over time - maybe because of children, grandparents, or accommodating an extended family or working from home. The intention of super-flexible homes is to allow people to easily adapt their homes to meet changing circumstances instead of moving. In a house designed to these principles, space can be arranged and then potentially re-arranged to meet future requirements with less need for expensive refitting. Examples:
- Open play layouts or rooms with partition walls that can easily be removed or repositioned.
- Open truss roofs designed to facilitate future dormer conversion or upwards extension.
- Some easier interchange between residential and employment
