Fenny Stratford is part of Bletchley. The name comes from fenny or marshy ground where the street (Watling) fords or crosses the Ouzel Valley.

Fenny grew up along Watling Street where it reached higher ground and it was joined at this point by the route coming in from Buckingham, now the B4034. The Roman station of Magiovinium lay to the south east. It developed under the Normans and several inns were established there in the 15th Century and it became a coaching station. The canal bought wharves to Fenny and it doubled the population in the early 1800's. The opening of the railway line from Bletchley to Bedford in 1846 gave the town a station.

Fenny has a traditional high street with shops and restaurants along it. The housing is mixed and mature.

There are churches and meeting places and the shopping facilities of Bletchley are on your doorstep. Central Milton Keynes is about a ten minute drive away and regular bus services are provided.
