The name is taken from an old field name and the street names from dead entertainment stars eg. Presley Way, Hendrix Drive and Lennon Drive  The area is a mix of employment and housing. Employment is sited at the east adjacent to the V4 and near to the A5 Trunk Road. The units are small and medium size of an attractive design. The low cost housing around Lennon and Armstrong is for first time buyers. Shared ownership housing is in Munro and Lennon and a self build area was in Morrison Court.  There is a meeting place and pavilion. The city centre is just the other side of the A5 Trunk Road and Westcroft Retail Park is just a few minutes away with its huge Morrison supermarket. Shenley Leisure Centre is also very close and historic Shenley Church end is in the adjacent grid square.The crematorium is sited in the north of the area and there are allotments there too. Education is divided. The southern part of the area go to Glastonbury Thorn First School on Shenley Church End and Loughton Middle School.
