CHRISTMAS lights are to be switched on across Milton Keynes over the coming weeks to kick off the festive feeling.
Christmas lovers from across the city will be wrapping up warm and taking to the streets to see their communities magically lit up for the season.

Midsummer Place, Saturday (November 23), 4pm.
For the first year ever, Midsummer Place will host a Christmas light switch- on ceremony on Saturday from 4pm onwards.
The Midsummer Place Christmas Parade, partnered with Gulliver’s Land has been billed as a magical and enchanted event to mark the start of Christmas. Featuring over 20 loveable mascots, elves and fairies, this event is for the whole family and finishes in the lighting of the Oak Tree.
There are also special prizes to be won including every child getting a free ticket to Guilliver’s land read more here.
Theatre District, Sunday (November 24), 5.45pm.
A Christmas lights switch-on and family fun event will take place on Sunday at 5.45pm onwards.
With a full line up of amazing free entertainment, including local singers, dancers, family friendly comedy from the Comedy Cow and free kids rides kindly provided by Keith Emmett.
Newport Pagnell, Saturday November 30, 5pm.
There will be stalls and a Christmas Fayre taking place along the High Street from 10am ahead of the switching on ceremony on Saturday November 30 at 5pm.
Stony Stratford, Saturday November 30, 4.15pm.
A Lantern Parade starts at 4.15pm from York House and wends its way along the High Street, round onto Church Street and Silver Street before finishing in the Market Square in time for the Christmas Lights switch-on at 5pm.
Bletchley and Fenny Stratford, Sunday December 1, 5pm.
The Christmas Fayre will take place from 12pm with festivities throughout the day and evening, followed by the Christmas lights switch-on at 5pm.
Wolverton, Saturday December 7, 4.30pm.
Wolverton will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Lantern Festival.
The fun starts at 2pm in the Square with fire eaters, face painting, balloon modelling, the Gilbert and Sullivan Society and the town band amongst them, there’ll be a seasonal street market selling tasty hot treats and Victorian delights.
The Lantern Parade start at 4.30pm complete with Santa on his sleigh.
Woburn Sands, Sunday December 1, 4.30pm.
The annual traditional Christmas Fayre will be held from 1pm onwards and include lot of stalls, fun fair rides and tasty treats, the Christmas lights will be switched on at 4.30pm.
